A useful theme makes your real pages easier to build. Here is what to check before choosing one.
Start with your pages
Write down the pages your visitors actually need. Map each page to a goal: understand a service, compare products or contact your team. A longer list of templates is not automatically a better fit.
Check the editor
Choose an editing workflow your team can maintain. Test how global typography, colours, navigation and reusable sections are organised before committing.
Try your content
A demo with short headlines and perfect images may look different with your copy. Test longer titles, portrait photography and empty states.
Plan the handover
Keep a record of plugins, licenses, fonts and customisations. Separate content changes from code changes so future maintenance is predictable.
