About Chroma Gallery

Who it is for

A contemporary art gallery that shows a handful of artists, publishes price lists and wants to offer tours will find Chroma ready for use. It also suits a private dealer or project space: the structure centers on exhibitions, a roster of artists and a Journal for studio visits.

How the pages are laid out

On view and next: the home page highlights the current show, Tidal Memory, with Soft Machines and an art-fair appearance beside it, followed by a strip of gallery artists and the gallery's address. An exhibition page lets visitors select a work to see it closer and ends with a price list and dimensions. The archive lists past shows, Visit Chroma offers a booking for a curator tour, and the Journal carries studio visits, a piece on hanging a show in four days and a guide to collecting a first painting.

Design notes

White-cube restraint. Instrument Serif in large italic-friendly sizes sets the tone, Schibsted Grotesk handles captions and details, and a single vermilion accent shows up in small marks. Margins are wide and artworks are shown large against white.

Good to know

Built in Elementor, so a gallery team can add shows without a developer. WordPress, Shopify and Next.js are each a separate $9 purchase, made to order. Artwork, price and artist details in the demo are sample content, and there is no checkout for selling works.
