About Lensly

Who it is for

Lensly is a theme for an online eyewear brand that sells frames with lenses included and lets customers try them at home. It suits a small Scandinavian-style label with a handful of frame shapes, where choosing is the hard part and fit advice does the selling.

How the pages are laid out

The home page leads with a line about Nordic light, then eight frames currently worn, a choice between clear and tinted lenses, a 'which frame suits your face?' prompt and promises such as free home try-on, lenses included and easy returns. A face-shape page matches you to a frame, with an example result for an oval face. The All frames collection filters by type, for example optical, and shows a 'No frames match those filters' message when nothing fits. Frame pages, a shape guide, a Journal piece on reading the numbers on a frame and a bag complete it.

Design notes

Light, airy and exact. Hanken Grotesk sets headings in a modern grotesque, IBM Plex Mono prints measurements such as lens width, and a saturated cobalt blue acts as the sole accent on white. Faces and frames are cropped in circles that echo lens shapes.
