Nomad Gear is for a retailer of tents, packs, sleeping bags and stoves that wants to compete on specifications rather than discounts. It rewards a shop that actually weighs and tests its products and is happy to print numbers next to every item.

How the pages are laid out

Its home page leads with items 'Fresh off the test bench', a 'Shop by system' section for building a kit, and a strip of promises: free shipping over $150, a 60-night field trial and lifetime repairs. The collection page, titled 'Full catalogue' in the demo, takes category filters such as tents and packs and answers an empty result with 'Nothing matches that spec'. Product, cart and search pages are included, along with an About page and a Journal for trip reports, gear tests and restock alerts.

Design notes

Technical and practical. Archivo supplies sturdy headlines, IBM Plex Mono prints weights and dimensions like a spec sheet, and a burnt orange accent signals buttons and sale details. White space is tight and data-rich, which suits shoppers who compare numbers.
