Install a WordPress theme with Elementor

These steps apply to themes sold for WordPress and built with Elementor.

Before you start

1. Make a backup of your site.
2. Download your files from the link in your order email or from My account → Downloads.
3. Unzip the download on your computer. Inside you will find the theme package (a .zip file) and any extra files described on the theme page. Keep the theme .zip file zipped for the upload.

Install the theme

1. In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New Theme → Upload Theme.
2. Choose the theme .zip file and click Install Now.
3. Click Activate.

Install the required plugins

1. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Elementor, then Install and Activate.
2. If the theme page lists other required plugins, install and activate them too.
3. If a theme offers a recommended-plugins notice after activation, follow its prompts.

Check the result

1. Open Pages and confirm the theme pages exist. If they do not, follow the guide on importing demo content.
2. Go to Settings → Reading and choose which page is your homepage.
3. Open the site in a private browser window to see what visitors see.
